Skin Needling

Skin needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a cutting-edge dermatological treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating its natural healing processes, resulting in a smoother, more youthful complexion. This treatment works by encouraging the body to produce its own collagen, which is essential for maintaining a youthful appearance.

What is Skin Needling?

Skin needling involves the use of our Neopen and Nanopore devices, which are medical grade and TGA approved, to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, increasing the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen is a vital protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin, and by boosting its production, microneedling helps improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.

Who is it for?

This procedure is ideal for individuals looking to address fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, large pores, and stretch marks. It is suitable for most skin types and tones, but a consultation with one of our clinical skin therapists is essential to determine its suitability for you.

Preparation

Before undergoing skin needling, it is important to avoid sun exposure, exfoliants, and certain skincare products that can sensitize the skin. Additionally, clients should avoid any advanced cosmetic treatments such as laser, IPL, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels. We also recommend starting a melanin inhibitor prior to treatment to minimize the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Your clinical skin therapist will provide specific guidelines tailored to your skin type and condition.

Aftercare

Post-procedure care includes keeping the skin clean and hydrated, avoiding sun exposure, and refraining from using harsh skincare products. Applying a gentle, hydrating serum and sunscreen is crucial to protect and nourish the treated skin.
